Richard Ashman is currently an Associate Director at Mace, having joined the company in 2019 after serving as a Senior Commercial Manager from 2017 to 2019. With over three decades of experience in the construction industry, Richard has a strong background in two-stage tendering, cost management, subcontract management, and value engineering. Prior to Mace, Richard held the position of Commercial Manager at Vinci Construction PLC from 1997 to 2017, where notable projects included the Bloc Hotel at Gatwick and a Honda facility in Swindon. Richard began their career as a Trainee Technician at E Thomas Construction Ltd in the late 1980s, and holds a BSc in Construction Management (Quantity Surveying) from the University of Portsmouth.
