MachSafe is the first AI-assisted SaaS compliance platform purpose-built for the Building Safety Act 2022.
We help housing associations, property management companies, and Accountable Persons managing occupied higher-risk residential buildings in England meet their legal obligations — through intelligent document management, compliance gap detection, AI-assisted Safety Case drafting, and BAC readiness tracking.
The Building Safety Act 2022 created mandatory compliance obligations for approximately 12,500 buildings in England from April 2024. Every Accountable Person must maintain a Golden Thread of safety documentation across 14 regulatory categories, produce a Safety Case report, and respond to Building Safety Regulator requests — with personal criminal liability for non-compliance.
Most organisations currently manage these obligations through email folders, spreadsheets, and fire safety consultants charging £2,000 to £8,000 per Safety Case engagement. MachSafe replaces this fragmented, expensive approach with a single purpose-built digital platform.
Core features include a structured Golden Thread document library mapped to the Higher-Risk Buildings Regulations 2024, a risk-weighted compliance gap engine that identifies and prioritises missing documentation, a BAC readiness tracker for Building Assessment Certificate submissions, an AI-assisted Safety Case drafting module with mandatory human review, and a portfolio dashboard for multi-building oversight.
