Sam Vinko

Co-founder at Machine Discovery

Sam Vinko has a diverse work experience in academia and research. In 2010, they served as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Oxford until 2014. From 2014 onwards, they held multiple roles at Trinity College Oxford, including Junior Research Fellow, Research Fellow, Stipendiary Lecturer in Physics, and Tutorial Fellow. They also worked as a Royal Society University Research Fellow at The Royal Society from 2014. In 2019, Sam Vinko co-founded Machine Discovery and currently serves as its Co-founder and Director. Since 2020, they have been an Associate Professor at the University of Oxford.

Sam Vinko has a strong education background in the field of physics. They obtained a Laurea Triennale degree in Physics from the University of Rome Tor Vergata. Subsequently, they pursued further education at the same university and earned a Laurea Specialistica degree in Condensed Matter Physics. Finally, Sam Vinko attended the University of Oxford, where they obtained a DPhil degree in Atomic and Laser Physics.
