Shu Ding has worked in a variety of roles since 2006. Shu began their career as a Research Assistant at the University of Missouri. In 2011, they were a Biostatistician Intern at St. Jude Medical, followed by a Biostatistician role at Minneapolis Medical Research Foundation in 2012. That same year, they began a role as a Financial Engineer I/II/III at Fannie Mae, where they led the challenge model development using advanced data science algorithms, managed technical model documentations, and was responsible for monthly production of model executions. In 2016, they moved to Wells Fargo, where they held the role of Vice President, Credit Risk Consultant. In this role, they led the key data ETL process, developed data visualizations, and led model validation and performance monitoring. In 2019, they joined LendingHome as a Data Scientist - Risk. Most recently, in 2022, they began a role as a Staff Data Scientist at Machinify, Inc.

Shu Ding attended the University of Minnesota from 2009 to 2011, where they obtained a Master of Science (MS) in Statistics. Shu then attended the University of Missouri-Columbia from 2006 to 2008, where they obtained a Master of Science (MS) in Biological/Biosystems Engineering.
