Emily Schlackman has worked in various roles in the marketing and communications industry since 2013. Emily began their career as a Day Camp Counselor at Temple Sinai of Dresher, PA in 2013. In 2016, they were a Social Media Marketing Intern at the Philadelphia Freedoms, where they promoted ticket and event sales for the professional tennis team through organic social media and monitored and optimized paid social campaigns on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. In 2017, they were a Social Coordinator Intern at Hibu, where they supported pre-sale and post-sale operations for the Hibu Social product and curated articles and posted content to the client's Facebook and Twitter pages across multiple verticals. From 2018 to 2020, Emily worked at MealPal in various roles, including Senior Marketing Associate, Email Marketing Associate, City Launcher, and Community Associate. In their most recent role at Mack Weldon, they have been a Manager of Retention Marketing since 2020 and a Retention Marketing Associate since 2018.
Emily Schlackman graduated from Upper Dublin High School in 2014. Emily then attended Penn State University and obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Public Relations in 2018. In 2017, they also studied Spanish at Universitat de Barcelona. Additionally, they have obtained two certifications: Hootsuite Platform Certification from Hootsuite in December 2017, and Email Marketing Certification from HubSpot in April 2020.
