Young Lee

Young Lee, JD CFA, currently serves as Global General Counsel at MacKay Shields LLC since April 2010, where responsibilities include overseeing a team of legal and compliance professionals and providing counsel to C-Suite executives. Additionally, Young Lee has been a member of the CFA Institute's Standards of Practice Council since January 2014, contributing to the development of ethical standards in finance. Young Lee also holds the position of Corporate Governance and Responsible Investing Advisor, authoring significant papers on corporate governance and ESG considerations for the CFA program. Prior experience includes roles as General Counsel at Principled Capital Management and Allianz, as well as Senior Counsel at AllianceBernstein. Young Lee began a legal career as a Capital Markets Associate at Paul Hastings / Battle Fowler after obtaining a BA in Government from Cornell University and a JD from New York University School of Law.
