Jake Banton is an accomplished architect with extensive experience in the architecture and planning sectors. Since June 2015, Jake has been working as an Architect at Mackey Mitchell Architects and concurrently serves as a Planning Commissioner for the City of St. Louis since June 2018. Previous experience includes an Architectural Intern position at Jacobs from May 2014 to August 2014. Jake holds a Master of Architecture (MArch) from The University of Kansas, graduating in 2015, and a Chancellor's Certificate in Fundamentals of Economic Development from the University of Missouri-Saint Louis. Additionally, Jake is currently participating in the Emerging Leaders Program through FOCUS St. Louis, which commenced in 2017.

In October 1968, Gene Mackey—with a passion for architecture and a will to succeed—took a risk.
