Karyn Burns

Karyn Burns is an experienced consultant with a background in communications and government relations, currently working with MACNY - The Manufacturers Association since January 2019, after serving as Vice President of Communications and Government Relations from March 2007 to December 2018. In this role, Karyn facilitated advocacy efforts for a trade association representing 350 member companies, including lobbying and organizing grassroots initiatives. Prior experience includes roles in business development and government affairs at Syracuse Research Corporation, where Karyn successfully identified and secured federal funding, as well as serving as Deputy Director of International Political Liaison for the International Republican Institute. Karyn began a political career with internships in the United States House of Representatives and Senate. Karyn holds a Bachelor's degree in Political Science with a minor in Art History from Syracuse University.
