Andrew Carlin has a strong background in engineering and research. Andrew started their career as a Graduate Research Assistant at The Ohio State University, where they worked on the development of semiconductor materials for multi-junction solar cells. Andrew also gained experience in clean room fabrication and equipment maintenance. After that, they joined 4Power LLC as a Project Manager and Lead Engineer, where they oversaw the development and transfer of multi-junction solar cell technology. Andrew then worked at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology as a Research Affiliate before joining Sheaumann Laser Inc. as a Sr. Semiconductor Laser Design Engineer and later as the Director of Engineering. Currently, they are a Senior Principal Engineer at MACOM.
Andrew Carlin received their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Electrical Engineering from The Ohio State University in 2004. Andrew went on to pursue a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Electrical Engineering from the same university, which they completed in 2010. From 2010 to 2012, Andrew Carlin furthered their education at The Ohio State University and earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering.
