Damian McCann

Damian McCann has extensive work experience in engineering and leadership roles in the technology industry. Damian is currently working as an Associate Director of Development Engineering at Microchip Technology Inc. Prior to that, they held the position of Vice President of Engineering - Aerospace & Defense at MACOM Technology Solutions, where they led the engineering team in sensor and communications development initiatives. Damian also served as the Director of Engineering - Long Beach Office at M/A-COM Technology Solutions, where they led all power product engineering activities and focused on microwave/mm-Wave GaN process evolution.

Damian McCann has also worked as the Director of Engineering - RF/MW - Discrete Products Group at Microsemi Corporation, where they directed RF/MW engineering activities. Before that, they held the position of CTO at Mimix Broadband, where they built, managed, and led engineering activities in multiple locations. Additionally, Damian McCann worked at Celeritek Inc as the VP of Advanced Marketing and Technology, where they managed diverse organizations and recruited and managed design centers.

At Marconi Electronic Devices, Damian McCann worked as a Principle Engineer, leading a team in microwave component development and establishing the company as a supplier to major clients. Overall, Damian McCann has a strong background in engineering, leadership, and technology development in the aerospace, defense, and telecommunications sectors.

Damian McCann received a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from Queen's University Belfast in the years 1980 to 1983. Damian also obtained a Certificate degree in Marketing from the University of California, Santa Cruz in 1996 to 1997. Prior to their university education, Damian attended St. Colmans College and Violet Hill from 1973 to 1980.
