Farooq Amin

Farooq Amin is a Senior Principal MMIC Design Engineer at MACOM. They have extensive experience in RF, Microwave, and mm-wave design, working with a range of technologies including GaN, SiGe, and CMOS. Farooq's past roles include positions at Northrop Grumman, Intel Corporation, and Qorvo, where they focused on integrated circuit design and EM modeling. They hold a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and have contributed to various research projects, including integrated tunable filters and RF circuit designs for radar bands. Farooq also has a background in academia as a lecturer and research assistant.
