Jason Bowker

Director Of Engineering at MACOM

Jason Bowker has an extensive work experience in the field of photonics and laser technology. Jason started their career at State University of New York as a Research Assistant in 2003, where they worked until 2006. During this time, they gained experience in projects involving holographic lithography, solar cell fabrication, and cyclotron resonance experiments.

In 2006, Jason joined BinOptics as a Production Engineering Manager. Jason successfully managed and supervised a team of technicians in an advanced laser fabrication process. Jason was also responsible for conducting experiments to increase laser yield on current products and directing efforts for new product development as part of the R&D team. Jason ended their tenure at BinOptics in 2014 after serving as a Senior Process/Product Development Engineer.

Following their experience at BinOptics, Jason worked at MACOM as an R&D Engineering Manager from 2014 to 2018. Here, they focused on photonics process and product integration, and played a key role in developing next-generation laser products and bringing them to market. Jason then transitioned to the position of Senior Engineering Manager, where they continued to contribute to MACOM's success until September 2022. In this role, they utilized their expertise in photonic device fabrication and optical components.

Currently, Jason holds the position of Director of Engineering at MACOM, a position they have held since September 2022. In this role, they oversee the photonic device fabrication process, including transmitters, receivers, lasers, photodiodes, and other optical components.
