Jian Wang

Principal Design Engineer at MACOM

Jian Wang has extensive work experience in the field of engineering, particularly in the development of xDSL (digital subscriber line) products. Jian started their career at Nortel Japan as a System Engineer in 1992 and later joined Nortel/Bell Northern Research as a Design Engineer in 1994. In 1998, they became a Senior Engineer at GlobespanVirata/GlobeSpan Inc, where they led the SoC team in designing xDSL CPE (customer premises equipment) products. From 2003 to 2009, Jian worked at Conexant Systems as a Manager, overseeing the development and integration of multiple DSP cores for xDSL products. Jian then joined Ikanos Communications in 2009 as a Principle Engineer/Manager, where they developed FPGA-based SERDES framer and integrated MIPS34Kc in SoC. Jian's next role was at Qualcomm in 2015, where they served as a Senior Staff Engineer, responsible for digital and DSP design for xDSL Mixed-Signal ASIC. Currently, Jian is working as a Principal Design Engineer at MACOM.

Jian Wang obtained a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering (MSEE) specializing in Multi-processor Fault Tolerant Systems and Digital Signal Processing (DSP) from the University of Washington, where they studied from 1990 to 1992.
