John Atherton

John Atherton has a diverse work experience in the semiconductor industry. John started their career in 1996 at M/A-COM as a Principal Engineer, and then worked at Filtronic Compound Semiconductors as the Head of Technology from 2000 to 2007. John joined Win Semiconductors Corp. and served as Associate VP, Technical Marketing from 2007 to 2016. Currently, they are working at MACOM, where they have held various positions including Senior Principal Engineer, Director of Engineering, Senior Director Of Engineering, and Vice President, Fab Operations.

John Atherton completed their education with a PhD in Electronic Engineering from the University of Leeds in 1992. John then pursued a Post Doctoral Research Fellowship at the same university from 1993 to 1996. Later, they attained a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Warwick - Warwick Business School from 2012 to 2015.
