Pritish Kar

Pritish Kar currently serves as the Director of Engineering at MACOM since July 2025. Previously, Pritish held the position of Wafer Fab Engineering Director at Wolfspeed, overseeing the manufacturing and engineering processes for SiC Discrete and MMIC HEMT devices, which are crucial for cellular infrastructure and aerospace applications. With a strong background in product engineering and photolithography, Pritish has led various engineering teams across multiple companies, including X Display Company, Skyworks Solutions, and Wolfspeed, contributing to significant yield improvement, quality control, and successful technology transfers. Pritish's educational background includes a PhD in Materials Science & Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley, and an MBA from Duke University's Fuqua School of Business, along with advanced degrees in Metallurgical Engineering.
