Principal RF Design Engineer at MACOM

Robert Sadler has extensive work experience in the field of RF engineering and antenna design. Robert started their career at Sony Ericsson Mobile Communications, where they worked as a Senior Staff Antenna Engineer for eight years. During this time, they focused on developing internal and external antenna designs and SAR distribution techniques for various phone technologies. Robert holds 18 US patents in these areas. After leaving Sony Ericsson, Robert worked at Panasonic as a Senior Technical Leader/Staff Antenna Engineer, where they oversaw antenna research activities and the development of innovative antenna system solutions for clamshell cell phones. Robert then joined SAMSys as an RF Hardware Engineer, where they were responsible for designing and implementing RF and analog hardware solutions for RFID technology. Lastly, Robert worked at Nitronex, LLC (now MACOM) as a Principal RF Applications Engineer, where they designed RF application circuits and generated reference designs for GaN on Si devices. In 2014, they joined MACOM as a Principal RF Design Engineer.

Robert Sadler obtained a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) from Virginia Tech, specializing in RF Design, Analog Electronics, and Microwaves. Robert then pursued a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering (MSEE) at North Carolina State University, focusing on RF Design, Microwaves, and Semiconductors. Additionally, Robert has completed various certifications related to leadership and professional development through LinkedIn, including "Breaking Out of a Rut," "Leading and Working in Teams," "Collaborative Leadership," "Becoming an Impactful and Influential Leader," "Finding Your Leadership Purpose with Doug Conant," and "Train Your Brain's Awareness-Focus Loop."
