Shamit Som

Shamit Som is a Senior Principal Design Engineer at MACOM, specializing in semiconductor modeling for RF and microwave applications. They possess extensive experience in characterizing and developing III-V semiconductors and have contributed to the deployment of innovative modeling techniques and software for EDA applications. Previously, Shamit interned at IBM Microelectronics and Lutron Electronics, where they gained hands-on experience in semiconductor packaging and LED driver design. Shamit holds a Master’s Degree in Electrical, Electronics, and Communications Engineering from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, as well as a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from the same institution.
