Simon Wood

Simon Wood currently serves as the VP of RF Product Technology at MACOM, a position held since December 2023. Prior experience includes various roles at Wolfspeed from July 2017 to October 2025, including VP of RF Product Development and Applications and Senior Director of RF Product Development and Applications. Simon also worked at Cree from April 2000 to July 2017, progressing through roles such as RF Product Development Manager and Senior RF Design Engineer. Earlier career experience includes a Senior RF Design Engineer role at Raytheon RF Components (November 1998 - April 2000) and an RF Design Engineer position at Marconi Instruments (July 1995 - November 1998). Simon holds a BEng(Hons) in Electronic Engineering with European Studies from the University of Bradford, obtained from 1991 to 1995.
