Timothy Vanderwerf

Timothy Vanderwerf has extensive experience in mechanical design engineering. Timothy has worked in various companies such as MACOM, where they held the positions of Principal Mechanical Design Engineer and Senior Mechanical Design Engineer. In these roles, they were responsible for guiding the mechanical design of new optical and RF test station products and leading the mechanical development and upgrade of various test platforms and robots.

Timothy also worked as a CAD Drafter at MACOM, where they played a crucial role in the mechanical design process. Prior to MACOM, Timothy worked as a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer at Vanderwerf Consulting, where they contributed their skills and expertise in mechanical design engineering.

Timothy has also worked as a Mechanical Design Engineer at Solarflux, Dynamic Locomotion, Cleber/Oggün, and The Robbins Company. Additionally, Timothy gained experience as a Mechanical Design Engineer at Amtec Inc. at Daimler Trucks North America, where they were responsible for the design and analysis of sheet metal, injection mold, and cast part assemblies.

Before their professional career, Timothy served as an Engineer Intern at the US Army Corps of Engineers, McNary Dam, where they worked on various projects and gained valuable experience in analyzing gears, creating 3D models, and designing hydraulic weight for load testing.

Timothy Vanderwerf attended the University of Portland from 2008 to 2012, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Mechanical Engineering. Prior to that, they attended Oregon City High School from 2004 to 2008. Additionally, Timothy obtained an Engineer In Training (E.I.T.) certification in June 2012, and a Mine Safety and Health Administration Certification in September 2012.
