Stuart Gibson

Stuart Gibson has extensive experience in the field of law, specializing in IP and Media Law. Stuart currently works as a Principal Lawyer at Macpherson Kelley since March 2022. Additionally, they have held various positions throughout their career, including Deputy Co-Chair at the Law Council of Australia- Media & Communications Committee since June 2018, and Advisory Board Member at the University of Melbourne's Centre of Communications & Media Law since January 2009. Stuart is also a Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors since June 2021. Furthermore, Stuart has experience in the sports industry, serving as the Director of Football at Northern Bullants Football Club since July 2022, and being an International Senior Circuit tennis player for the International Tennis Federation since March 2020. Stuart Gibson has an extensive education history. Stuart obtained a Master of Laws (LLM) degree from the University of Melbourne between 1995 and 2013, specializing in the fields of Intellectual Property, Defamation Law, Corporate Law, and Patent Law. In 1992 and 1993, they completed a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree with a focus on Intellectual Property Law at Bond University. Stuart also received a Higher School Certificate from Brighton Grammar School: St Kevin's College from 1979 to 1986. Additionally, they pursued a Bachelor of Applied Science (BASc) in Physical Sciences at Victoria University from 1980 to 1984.

Stuart Gibson has also obtained certifications. Stuart is a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, which they joined in 2021. Furthermore, they have been recognized for their expertise in Media and Telco law, as they were named in Doyles' Best Lawyers List for 2015 and 2017.
