Peter Gavan

Peter Gavan is the Managing Director of Upstream Energy Capital at Macquarie Group, where they focus on sourcing and managing equity investments and structured debt for low carbon energy transition projects and upstream hydrocarbons. With extensive experience in project finance, Gavan previously held senior roles at companies such as AMEC, Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ, and DVB Bank SE. They have been a Board Member at Storegga since 2020, managing Macquarie's investment interests in carbon capture and hydrogen projects. Gavan holds a BA in Economics from The University of Wolverhampton and an MSc in Offshore Engineering Project Management from the University of Aberdeen.
