Christopher Banda has a diverse work experience in the field of Information and Communication Technology (ICT). Christopher started their career as a System Administrator at zain (Airtel) Malawi in 2006 and worked in that role until 2009. In 2009, they joined MACRA and served as an ICT Projects Manager until 2011. From 2011 to 2017, Christopher worked as an ICT Development Manager at MACRA. Christopher then moved on to become the CERT Manager, responsible for monitoring national incidents, identifying threats to critical infrastructures, and assisting in incident response and recovery. In 2021, Christopher was promoted to Head of CERT at MACRA, a position they currently hold.
