The company first started its operations on July 1, 2005 and later became a subsidiary of Macro Group in 2010. The Macro Group consisted of three subsidiary companies namely Macro Shipping Limited, Macro Logistics Limited and Macro Trucking Limited.

On February 1, 2016, Macro Group was restructured in terms of Ownership and Directorship and Macro Shipping Limited subsequently became an independent company no longer operating as a subsidiary of any Holding company.
