James Karrels

James Karrels is the current Senior Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and Secretary at MacroGenics. Prior to this, they were with Jazz Pharmaceuticals from October 2005 to May 2008 as their Executive Director of Finance. James's responsibilities included investor relations and budgeting & forecasting. James was also part of the team that led their 2007 IPO. Prior to that, they were with Merrill Lynch from July 1989 to September 2002 as their Director of Investment Banking. There they gained experience with transactions totaling over $25 billion, including $10 billion in IPOs, equity, equity-linked and high yield debt financings, and over $15 billion in M&A transactions. James has a healthcare industry focus.

James Karrels earned their master's in business administration from Stanford University Graduate School of Business and their bachelor's degree in business from University of Notre Dame.
