Madagascar Nature Conservation (MNC) is a grassroots non-govermental organization working to protect the unique biodiversity of southwest Madagascar through science, education, and local engagement. Based in the Andavadoaka, our team collaborates with communities to safeguard wetlands, monitor endangered species, and promote sustainable conservation practices rooted in local knowledge and participation.

We combine rigorous field research with inclusive community-based action to ensure that conservation efforts are both effective and equitable. Our current projects focus on establishing a Ramsar-protected wetland site, training local youth and leaders in conservation, and documenting the region’s rich but threatened biodiversity.

At MNC, we believe that conservation only works when it empowers people and protects nature together.
