Ben Ashwell has a diverse work experience that spans several roles and industries. Ben is currently employed as a Lead Software Engineer at Made Tech since June 2022. Prior to that, they worked at Matrix Booking Ltd as a Senior Software Engineer from August 2020 to June 2022. Ben also has experience as a Java Developer at Keytree from September 2019 to August 2020. Before that, they worked at CGI as a Java Developer from November 2017 to September 2019, where they were involved in the creation of a Data Collection and Analysis Web Application for the Military and Central Government. Ben worked alongside a Scrum team and other SCRUM Teams, utilizing shared components. Ben also gained experience as a Software Engineer at Capgemini from June 2015 to October 2017, where they worked on engagements for clients such as HMRC, Unilever, and a leading Rail Service. At Capgemini, they demonstrated achievements in automation and data analysis using SAS and UNIX. Prior to that, Ben worked at Technocamps as a Software Technician from September 2012 to June 2014, where they created and taught computer science workshops and boot camps for students aged 11 to 19. Ben also ran weekly club sessions for students interested in technology and robotics. Earlier in their career, Ben gained hands-on experience as a Refrigeration Engineer at Godfrey & Lappage Services Limited from June 2008 to September 2012, where they repaired and installed refrigeration and air conditioning equipment for high-end clients in and around London. Additionally, they worked part-time as a Computer Engineer at Cranham Computer Centre from September 2009 to September 2010, where they repaired electronic devices and provided customer support.

Ben Ashwell began their education in 2008 at Palmers College, where they pursued A Levels in Computing, Physics, and Mathematics. Ben completed this program in 2010. Following their time at Palmers College, Ben Ashwell enrolled in the University of Wales, Aberystwyth. From 2010 to 2015, they pursued a Master of Engineering (MEng) degree in Computer Science.
