Daniel Lyon

Daniel Lyon has a diverse work experience, starting in 2010 as a Youtuber where they recorded, edited, and managed videos while providing advertising opportunities for indie game development companies. From 2015 to 2022, they worked at Netacea, where they held various roles such as Junior Software Engineer, Software Engineer, Technical Lead, Senior Developer in Architecture, Technical Architect, and Software Team Lead. In these roles, Daniel was responsible for architectural design, infrastructure setup and maintenance, staff management, and reporting progress to senior leadership. In 2022, they joined Made Tech as a Lead Engineer, where they worked as a Contract Solutions Architect for the DVLA, defining patterns for cross-component communication and making long-term strategic architecture decisions.

Daniel Lyon attended The University of Manchester from 2008 to 2011, where they earned a BSc (hons) degree in Computer Science. In addition to their formal education, they obtained several certifications including the Japanese Language Proficiency Test Level N5 from The Japan Foundation in March 2015, the AAT Level 2 Certificate in Bookkeeping from AAT in May 2014, the AWS Certified DevOps Engineer - Professional from Amazon Web Services in November 2018, and the AWS Certified Developer – Associate from Amazon Web Services in December 2016.
