Emma Keeley

Emma Keeley has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Emma is currently working as an Associate Software Engineer at Made Tech, starting in April 2023. Prior to this, they were an Academy Software Engineer at the same company from October 2022 to April 2023.

Before joining Made Tech, Emma worked at Cheshire West and Chester Council as a Lead Contracting and Financial Performance Officer from September 2020 to September 2022. Emma also worked at the University of Chester as a Finance and Data Officer from October 2019 to August 2020, where they handled budgetary and finance matters.

In their earlier career, Emma worked as an Audit and Accounts Trainee at Langtons from February 2019 to October 2019, gaining exposure to client financial systems and carrying out audit testing. Emma had a role as an Accounts Payable Clerk at Shop Direct from November 2018 to January 2019, where they supported the Accounts Payable department.

Emma's experience also includes working as a Purchase Ledger Clerk at Alpha (RSL) Ltd from January 2018 to August 2018, where they processed invoices and organized payment runs. Prior to that, they worked as a Finance Graduate at Airbus from September 2017 to January 2018, where they presented financial information and prepared reports.

Additionally, Emma has experience in the education sector. Emma served as the Faculty of Arts, Professional, and Social Studies Representative and the International Student Advocate at Liverpool John Moores University from November 2016 to June 2017. In these roles, they represented the student voice and coordinated representatives in the faculty.

Earlier in their career, Emma worked as Bar Staff at Mitchells and Butlers from July 2016 to April 2017. Emma also had internships at GE Capital, where they worked as a Commercial Excellence Intern from November 2015 to July 2016, and as a Finance Intern from June 2015 to November 2015. In these roles, they gained experience in reporting, analysis, and reconciliation processes.

Emma Keeley attended Eirias High School from 2008 to 2013. Emma did not obtain any degree or field of study during their time there. In 2012, they briefly attended The Open University, where they studied Forensic Science and Technology, but did not obtain a degree.

After completing their high school education, Emma went on to study at Liverpool John Moores University from 2013 to 2017. During their time there, they pursued a Bachelor of Science (Hons) degree in Accounting and Finance.

In addition to their formal education, Emma has obtained several certifications. In April 2022, they completed an Introduction to Web Development course at Code First Girls. Later in September 2022, they obtained a CFG Degree Full Stack Specialisation from the same institution.

Emma also acquired the AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner certification in March 2023 from Amazon Web Services (AWS).
