Richard Cane has a diverse work experience in the software engineering field. Richard started their career at English Heritage in 2014 as a .NET Developer, where they worked on web app development using ASP.NET MVC. Richard then moved to Historic England in 2015 as a .NET Developer, contributing to the delivery of the organization's website.

In 2016, Richard joined MMT Digital as a Software Developer, where they worked on adapting a large ASP.NET infrastructure and building web APIs using NancyFx. Richard also worked on short and intensive projects involving integrations with CRM systems like Salesforce.

After that, Richard joined comparethemarket.com in 2017 as a Software Engineer. Richard contributed to investigatory projects on encryption and obfuscation of sensitive user data and later worked with a larger team on redeveloping a monolithic system.

Richard Cane attended the University of Plymouth from 2011 to 2014, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Computer Software Engineering.
