Tess Barnes

Tess Barnes has a diverse work experience spanning different companies and roles. Tess is currently working as a Senior Software Engineering Consultant at Made Tech since February 2020. Prior to that, they worked as a Consultant DevOps Engineer at HM Revenue & Customs from March 2020 to October 2021, through their role at Made Tech.

Before their time at Made Tech, Tess was employed as a Principal Software Engineer at GoCompare from September 2018 to February 2020. In this role, they championed best practices, useful tools, and effective processes while fostering open communication.

Tess also worked as a Software Developer (C#) at iiPay from December 2016 to September 2018, and as a Technical Team Lead at River Agency from August to November 2016. At River Agency, they served as the technical lead and scrum master to a team of six developers, specializing in C# development.

Tess gained experience in online software development in the domains of email and hosting industry at Fasthosts Internet Ltd from December 2013 to July 2016. Their responsibilities included green-field development and maintenance using various technologies such as PHP, Python, C#, and Delphi.

Prior to their position at Fasthosts Internet Ltd, they held roles at Open GI, Crataegus Design, CTL Services Ltd, and Hedgehog Marketing, where they gained experience in lead developer roles, freelance website development, marketing materials, and artwork.
