Madrinha Trust is a UK Registered Charity (No 1140672) focused on providing wrap-around scholarship specifically for tertiary education leaning towards STEM subjects where possible for the brightest students, pre-selected by our ten partner charities on the ground. The wrap-around scholarship includes a 1:1 UK mentor and local buddy mentor from our alumni. By having such strong attachments to our scholars, we are making a big difference, with 98% gaining successful employment in their chosen career.
Our objective is the relief of poverty through the advancement of education, giving financial independence to the scholars and helping them realise their full potential. In return, they commit to working hard giving back to their communities, fulfilling Madrinha’s ambition for developing future leaders in the developing world.
We also receive excellent support from our board of volunteer trustees (see website)
