Making Art For Enlightenment (mafe.foundation) is a creative movement founded by London-based artist Miguel Fernandez to help children rediscover creativity, imagination, and connection, beyond screens.

In a world increasingly shaped by algorithms and digital distractions, we believe that art remains one of the most powerful ways to reconnect with what makes us human. Through hands-on creative experiences, we aim to preserve the essence of childhood curiosity and nurture genuine human connection.

🎨 Our Mission
To connect families, schools, and youth centres with artists and creative teachers offering real-world art experiences - painting, sculpture, music, photography, and more. These are not online lessons, but experiences for children to explore their creativity through touch, play, and imagination.

💡 Our Vision
MAFE stands for more than art education, it’s a social movement that challenges passive scrolling and digital dependency. We advocate for mindful creativity, artistic exploration, and the return of curiosity as a vital part of learning and wellbeing.

👩‍🎨 Who We Work With
We collaborate with artists, makers, and educators who share a passion for inspiring the next generation. Each creative professional in our network believes that art can heal, connect, and enlighten and holds the experience and integrity to guide children through it.

🌍 Our Call to Action
We invite artists and educators to join our growing network and families to choose meaningful, screen-free experiences for their children. Together, we can protect creativity, preserve imagination, and empower children to create - not just consume.

✨ Art with Purpose. Preserve creativity. Protect childhood.
