MLE is a full-service MPE (mechanical, plumbing, and electrical) engineering firm, working across a diverse range of occupancies and project types. In addition to our core trades, we specialize in fire alarm systems, fire protection, marina design, electrical engineering studies, and more.

Founded in 2008 by principal partners Brian Maffett and Gary Loftis, Maffett Loftis Engineering (MLE) was built on a commitment to delivering high-quality engineering and design solutions. Based in Cookeville, TN, our firm initially focused on serving the Upper Cumberland region, but our reputation for excellence has allowed us to expand our reach nationwide.

With a dedication to precision, innovation, and client-focused service, MLE continues to provide practical, efficient, and code-compliant solutions for projects across the U.S.
