Joe Chapman

Joe Chapman is a seasoned public affairs professional with extensive experience across various sectors, including aviation and retail. Currently serving as Group Head of Public Affairs at MAG (Airports Group) since January 2024, Joe previously held positions such as Head of Corporate Affairs at London Stansted Airport and Head of Public Affairs for MAG, covering both London Stansted and East Midlands. Joe's background includes significant roles at Sainsbury's as a Senior Public Affairs Adviser, where involvement in a proposed £12bn merger with Asda was notable for its strategic complexity. Additional experience includes Corporate Affairs Manager for Tesco in Wales and the South West, and as a Policy Adviser at the Royal Academy of Engineering, where Joe authored a policy report addressing transport congestion. Earlier roles included managing campaigns for Dods Group PLC. Joe holds an MA in International Relations from King's College London and a BA in History from the University of Nottingham.
