Neil Thomson

Neil Thomson is an experienced aviation industry professional, currently serving as Group Technical Director at MAG (Airports Group) since January 2021, alongside roles as Asset Management Director for London Stansted Airport and Group Development Director for Asset Management. From August 2015 until January 2021, Neil held the position of Asset Strategy & Planning Director at London Stansted Airport. Prior experience includes Head of Asset Strategy at MAG (Airports Group), Consultant roles at Heathrow and Aberdeen Airports, and Asset Director at Edinburgh Airport, where Neil established a multifunctional team for airport infrastructure management. With a background as Capital Projects Director for BAA’s regional airports and Senior Project Manager for BAA Scotland, Neil has successfully delivered significant projects within live operational environments. Neil holds an MSc in Construction Management from Heriot-Watt University, an MRICS in Quantity Surveying, and a BSc in Quantity Surveying from Abertay University.
