Rainer Joss

Rainer Joss began their work experience as a Controller at Bühler AG in 1996, where they supported various affiliated companies in controlling, reporting, and budgeting. Rainer then became the CFO at Bühler SA São Paulo in 1998, where they were responsible for accounting, IT, and HR.

In 2003, Joss moved to Holcim as the Head of Accounting, where they led the general accounting department and improved efficiency. Rainer then transitioned to the role of Head of Treasury and Tax, where they managed departments and introduced electronic workflows.

Joss joined Soutec AG in 2009 as the CFO of the Soutec Group and also served as the interim Managing Director. Rainer later held the position of VP Finance at ANDRITZ Soutec AG, where they were responsible for CFO duties as well as managing the Finance, IT, HR, and facility departments.

In 2016, Joss joined Garaventa Lift as the CFO and Board Member, overseeing Finance and IT. Rainer then served as the Group CFO at mageba group in 2019, responsible for all finance matters.

Throughout their career, Joss has gained extensive experience in finance, controlling, reporting, consolidation, treasury, tax, planning, and managing teams in multinational organizations.

Rainer Joss completed their education in a chronological order. Rainer first attended the FH Nordwestschweiz from 1992 to 1995, where they studied Business Administration. Rainer then went on to AKAD from 1996 to 1997, where they completed 4 semesters of Eidg. dipl. Buchhalter/Controller, focusing on Accounting and Controlling. Finally, from 2003 to 2005, they attended the Graduate School of Business Administration Zurich and obtained an Msc. in Finance, in collaboration with the University of Wales.
