Magellan Strategy Group was founded in 2004 by Chris Cavanaugh with the vision of providing organizations with greater focus upon profitable opportunities and insight into the marketplace. Located at the intersection of strategic planning, marketing and research, we provide a range of expertise and partner with best-in-class resources to provide organizations with greater focus upon profitable opportunities and strategic insights into the marketplace.

Our mantra is "Create a dissatisfaction with the status quo." It's at the heart of everything we do--developing solutions that generate meaningful results.

We've worked extensively with clients in tourism and hospitality but we've also performed strategic planning and brand strategy projects for a number of other for-profit and non-profit organizations.

Today's marketplace is saturated with products and services that are often indistinguishable. Consumers have a wide variety of choices and exercise considerable savvy when making buying decisions. Brand building is a challenging task that must be accomplished before executing strategies and tactics. In a cluttered marketplace, strong brands remain constant beacons of light that help consumers make decisions that enhance their lives.

Magellan Strategy Group’s mantra is “Create a dissatisfaction with the status quo.” It is at the heart of everything we do for our clients—developing solutions that generate meaningful results by identifying real benefits that customers need and want.

Much of the work performed by Magellan is done in partnership with “best of class” external resources in a variety of fields. But it also includes working relationships with several talented, experienced individuals who can address client-specific needs in a wide range of categories. We believe this approach eliminates the possibility of a “one size fits all” solution, because every client has needs that are different and every market has opportunities that are unique.
