Maggio’s is an Artisan Bakery Café dedicated to creating visually stunning and delicious fare. Every item is made with care, using traditional techniques and high-quality ingredients. From our signature pastries to our house-baked breads, everything we serve is a thoughtful expression of great food, Italian heritage, and warm hospitality.

Founded in 1998, Maggio’s began as a small café in Cammeray, opened by brothers Andrew and Carlo Maggio. At the time, their youngest brother, Christian Maggio, was still in high school — and naturally helping out in the café. It wasn’t long before he officially joined the venture. In November 2016, Christian spearheaded the creation of Maggio’s Bakery, located just a few doors down from the original café, adding a new dimension to the family legacy.

In November 2024, eight years later, the Maggio brothers returned to their roots in Ryde — the suburb where they grew up — to open the next chapter: Maggio’s Ryde. Here, bakery and café come together in one space, blending the warmth of traditional Italian family values with the creativity of modern artisan baking.
