Gabriel Vacaliuc

Gabriel Vacaliuc is a Member of Technical Staff at Magic since June 2025, and previously served as a Software Engineer at Included Health from August 2020 to June 2025, focusing on enhancing healthcare data infrastructure. Prior experience includes internships at Cruise, where profiling tools were developed to monitor builds and reduce C++ build time by approximately 10%, and at Two Sigma in various roles, including implementing xattr support in a distributed filesystem and contributing to data engineering as part of the inaugural freshman intern class. Additionally, an internship at Oak Ridge National Laboratory involved distilling large protein molecular dynamic simulations into valuable data. Gabriel holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science from Rice University, completed in 2020.
