Matt Forbes

Matt Forbes is a seasoned software engineer with extensive experience in data infrastructure, machine learning, and real-time systems. Currently a Member of Technical Staff at Magic, Matt previously served as a Staff Software Engineer at Included Health, leading core data infrastructure projects. Prior roles include positions at Grand Rounds Health as a Senior Software Engineer, and significant contributions to Voyage's Perception Team in integrating sensors and developing machine learning models. Matt also supported research at Western Washington University under Dr. Richard Gardner. Experience includes software engineering at Freshplum, Inc. and TellApart, where work focused on real-time bidding systems and machine learning capabilities for advertising, culminating in optimizing Twitter's ad products.
