Erik Arend

Erik Arend is an accomplished optical engineer with extensive experience in the field, currently serving as Principal Optical Engineer at Magic Leap since June 2017, where Erik has also held positions as Lead Optical Engineer and Senior Optical Engineer. Prior to Magic Leap, Erik held the role of Senior Optical Engineer at REAL D from September 2010 to June 2017 and worked as an Optical Engineer at OmniVision Optics Division from June 2007 to September 2010. Erik began their career as an Optical Engineer Intern at NP Photonics from May 2005 to May 2007. Erik Arend holds a Master's degree in Optical Sciences and a Bachelor's degree in Optical Sciences and Engineering, both from the University of Arizona, obtained in 2013 and 2007, respectively.
