George Menzel

George Menzel is an accomplished engineering leader with extensive experience in program management and technical leadership. Currently serving as Vice President of Shared Engineering Services at Magic Leap since October 2021, George oversees a team that integrates various organizational functions, including software and hardware program management, software quality, and security. Prior to Magic Leap, George spent nearly 23 years at Microsoft, culminating in the role of Principal Program Manager Lead within the Azure Edge and Platform team. George's earlier positions at Microsoft included leadership roles focused on DirectX technologies and UWP platform development. George began their career as a Validation Engineer at Volt and served in the US Marine Corps as a Bulk Fuel Specialist. George's educational background includes studies at Everett Community College and Cascade High School.
