LiYi HSU is a highly skilled optical engineer currently serving as a Staff Optical Engineer and previously as a Senior Optical Simulation Engineer at Magic Leap since August 2021. Prior to this, LiYi worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at Boston University, focusing on the design and optimization of electro-optical-thermal devices using advanced simulation tools and machine learning methods. LiYi completed a Ph.D. in Electrical and Electronics Engineering at UC San Diego, where research emphasized photonics and metasurfaces related to defense and energy issues.
