Marco Grubert

Lead Software Engineer, Remote Rendering at Magic Leap

Marco Grubert is a seasoned software engineer with extensive experience in graphics and game development, currently serving as Lead Software Engineer for Remote Rendering at Magic Leap since November 2022. Previously, Marco held the position of Principal Graphics Engineer at Playable Worlds, contributing to multiplayer ECS netcode and voxel landscape meshing. At Disney Interactive, from August 2012 to November 2020, Marco played a pivotal role in the development of multiplayer VR titles and AR research, as well as projects like Club Penguin Island and Disney Infinity 3. Earlier experiences include senior engineering roles at Packet Video and Conitec Datensysteme GmbH, and ownership of Grubert Software Development, alongside serving as a Teaching Assistant at the Technical University of Berlin. Marco holds both a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree in Computer Science from Technische Universität Berlin.
