Sean Li

Sean Li is the current CEO at Magic. Sean has also worked with Docker, Inc as the Product Lead and Member of Technical Staff from November 2014 to November 2016. In this role, they were the founding product designer for Docker Desktop and Enterprise product. Sean was also responsible for growing the design team and culture, maintaining traction by creating great developer experiences, and establishing an effective working process between front-end and design teams. Prior to working with Docker, Inc., Sean Li was a Fellow at Lightspeed Venture Partners from June 2014 to September 2014. Sean also co-founded Kitematic with the guidance from partners in the firm. Kitematic was later acquired by Docker Inc. in which Sean Li continued to work as the Chief Product Officer from June 2013 to November 2014. In this role, they defined the product vision and go-to-market strategy to raise funds and compete in the container space. Sean gained significant traction by achieving “zero to Docker in 3min on a blank laptop” (top trending repo on Github). Furthermore, they designed the complete UX and built UI with React & Electron.

Sean Li has a Bachelor of Software Engineering from the University of Waterloo. Sean specializes in Computer Software Engineering and is currently working as a software engineer for a major corporation.
