Le Liu

Le Liu has a diverse range of work experience. They started their career as a Research Assistant at Clemson University in 2011, where they worked on identifying target features in a layered stereoscopic display. They also implemented an interactive system with a 3D eye tracking system for exploring human stereovision.

In 2013, Liu continued their research at Clemson University as a Research Assistant, focusing on visualizations of uncertainty in hurricane forecasts and exploring novel visualization techniques to enhance understanding of hurricane forecasts and their uncertainties. They also held the role of Visualization Designer, where they constructed an automated robotic system for simulating the assessment of soybean plants and designed an interactive visualization tool for analyzing simulation data collected by the robotic system.

From 2015 to 2016, Liu worked as a Visiting Scholar at Texas A&M University, specializing in uncertainty visualizations and developing a novel algorithm to select representative subsets from prediction ensembles. They also designed visualizations to support explorations of the spatial distribution of the ensemble and its underlying uncertainties.

Liu then joined Virtroid Inc. in 2016 as a Software Development Engineering (SDE) Intern, gaining practical experience in software development.

In 2016, Liu also worked as a Research Assistant at the Clemson CCIT Visualization Lab.

From 2017 to 2018, Liu worked as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of Miami, furthering their research in their field.

In 2018, Liu founded MagicWeaver Inc., where they currently hold the role of Founder.

Le Liu completed their Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science at Chongqing University from 2006 to 2010. They then pursued their Master's degree in Computer Science at Clemson University from 2010 to 2012. Finally, they obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Computer Science from Clemson University from 2013 to 2017.
