Michael Sohn

Michael Sohn currently serves as the VP of Corporate Purchasing at MAHLE, a position held since May 2023. Prior to this role, Michael held the title of Executive Vice President of Purchasing at HELLA from November 2016 to April 2023, where responsibilities included managing all spending in chemicals, electromechanics, and mechanical products. Michael also served as CPO for Non-Trade Goods at OTTO GmbH & Co KG, overseeing external spending in transport and professional services from May 2014 to October 2016. Michael's earlier experience includes nearly a decade at McKinsey & Company as an Expert Associate Principal in the Procurement and Supply Chain Practice, as well as a role as Operations Director at Clever Stolz Lebensmittelwerke GmbH, which involved co-founding the company. Michael began a career at Unilever as the Head of Indirect Procurement MRO for approximately 100 sites in Europe. Educational background includes a Diplom in Wirtschaftsingenieur from the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology, completed in 1997.
