Todd Pleiness is a seasoned intellectual property professional with extensive experience in patent law and engineering. Currently serving as Senior IP Counsel at MAHLE since November 2015, Todd manages patent filing budgets and develops protection strategies for inventions across North America. Previous roles include Intellectual Property Attorney positions at Brinks Gilson and Lione and Howard & Howard, where Todd drafted and prosecuted patents in diverse technologies. Todd's career began at General Motors, progressing from Manufacturing Engineer to Resident Engineer, and includes experience as a Patent Examiner at the USPTO. Todd holds a J.D. with a concentration in Intellectual Property from Michigan State University College of Law and a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Kettering University.
