Derek Chiang

Derek Chiang has a wealth of experience in design and management roles in various technology companies. Derek started their career as an Interaction Designer at BenQ in 2003, where they worked on designing user interfaces for mobile devices, digital cameras, and car audiovisual systems. Derek then moved on to HTC in 2006, where they initially served as a Senior Assistant Design Manager at HTC Magic Labs, leading the design team in creating product concepts and software for HTC's products. In 2013, they were promoted to Senior Design Manager at HTC Research Center, where they led the design team in delivering concepts, devices, and apps for Android and iOS app stores, including the innovative Duo Camera. In 2016, Derek joined ASUS as a Design Manager, leading the AMACS's design team in delivering concepts and web-based tools/apps for ASUS products. Currently, Derek is working as a Design Lead at MaiCoin, Ltd. since 2019.

Derek Chiang obtained a Bachelor's degree in Industrial and Product Design from Tunghai University, where they studied from 1994 to 1997. Derek then pursued a Master's degree in Design for Interactive Media at Middlesex University, which they completed from 2001 to 2002.
