Elaine Stead

Elaine Stead is a seasoned professional in venture capital and entrepreneurship with extensive experience in managing investment funds and advising institutions on scaling technology-led ventures. Currently serving as Principal at Main Sequence since March 2024, Elaine previously held the role of Managing Director at Human Venture Capital, where responsibilities included managing the South Australian Venture Capital Fund. Elaine's expertise also extends to the Australian National University, where as Director of New Ventures and Entrepreneurship, leadership focused on startup investment strategies. As a Co-Founder and Chief Investment Officer at Tribe Global Ventures, Elaine facilitated investments in Australian and New Zealand B2B companies aimed at expanding into international markets. Additional roles include strategic advisory at Deloitte and board memberships at organizations such as StartupAUS and Fivecast.
